OUR SOULS AT NIGHT
Women of a certain age enjoyed discussing this last novel written by Kent Haruf {who really liked visiting Spokane].It was a relatable story and we asked ourselves how it would go over in our neighborhoods! Husbands enjoyed having it read to them. Short-sweet book.
THE LAST PAINTING OF SARAH DE VOS
This novel was a departure of sorts for our book group. It was part mystery and part instruction in oil painting and restoration. Recommended by The New York Times Book Review---it piqued our interest.
