About the Series:

A Grifter’s Song is a novella anthology series created and edited by Frank Zafiro. The series features a pair of grifters, Sam and Rachel, who are lifelong grifters in their late thirties. Their past is as shadowy as their present, but we know that they pulled a major long con on the mafia in Philadelphia, and now they are on the run. While one or the other may speak longingly of that quiet life in a beach house somewhere at the end of the rainbow, we all know that the likelihood is that they will never leave this life, unless it is in a box. The latest installment finds Sam and Rachel in Mississippi and Florida, one step ahead of the vengeful mobsters pursuing them.

About the authors:

Frank Zafiro was a police officer in Spokane, Washington, from 1993 to 2013. He retired as a captain. He is the author of over thirty crime novels, including the River City
and the Charlie-316 series. He is the creator, editor (and contributor) to the serial novella anthology, A Grifter's Song. He currently lives in Redmond, Oregon, with his wife Kristi,
dogs Richie and Wiley, and a very self-assured cat named Pasta. He is an avid hockey fanand a tortured guitarist.

Asa Maria Bradley grew up in Sweden surrounded by archaeology and history steeped in Norse mythology, which inspired her sexy modern-day Viking Warriors paranormal romance series. She also writes urban fantasy about empowered heroines who kick ass while saving the world.

Booklist attributes her writing with “nonstop action, satisfying romantic encounters, and intriguing world building” and  Entertainment Weekly says “when it comes to paranormal romance with explosive action scenes, Bradley has that nailed.” Her work has received the honors of a double nomination for the Romance Writers of America’s RITA contest, a Reviewers’ Choice Award nomination, a Holt Medallion win, and a Booksellers’ Best Award win.

Asa came to the United States as a high school exchange student and quickly fell in love with ranch dressing and crime TV dramas of all flavors, two addictions she unfortunately still struggles with. After a few more years of schooling, Asa earned an MS in Medical Physics from University of Colorado and an MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University. Currently, she lives on a lake deep in the forest of the Pacific Northwest with a British husband and a rescue dog of indeterminate breed. Sadly, neither of them obeys any of her commands.

Colin Conway is the author The Cozy Up series which pushes the envelope of the cozy genre. Libby Klein, author of the Poppy McAllister series, says Cozy Up to Death is “Not your grandma’s cozy.”

He is also the creator of The 509 Crime Stories, a series of novels set in Eastern Washington with revolving lead characters. They are standalone tales and can be read in any order.

Colin co-authored The Charlie-316 series. The first novel in the series, Charlie-316, is a political/crime thriller that has been described as “riveting and compulsively readable,” “the real deal,” and “the ultimate ride-along.”

He served in the U.S. Army and later was an officer of the Spokane Police Department. He's owned a laundromat, invested in a bar, and ran a karate school. Besides writing crime fiction, he is a commercial real estate broker.

Colin lives with his beautiful life partner, three wonderful children, and a codependent Vizsla that rules their world.

Scott Eubanks' essays and short stories have appeared in Memoir (and), the Yellow Medicine Review, Zone 3 Magazine, and Lilac City Fairy Tales. He lives in Spokane, Washington, with his wife and four kids. This is his first novella.

Tyler Garrett is a model SWAT officer whose good looks, education and familial status add to that image. The fact that he is a black man in the predominately white Spokane Police Department only adds to the city administration's pride in one of their own. He's often pointed to as an example of the department's best and brightest--a young man on the rise.
