Reading with David Abrams

Join us in welcoming back David Abrams to Auntie's Bookstore! On Tuesday, August 22 at 7pm, David will be reading from and speaking on his upcoming novel, Brave Deeds. This poignant storyline follows six AWOL soldiers, stumbling across war-torn Baghdad to make the funeral of their squad leader, Staff Sargeant Rafe Morgan. Traveling through the surrounding inhospitable environment, each man ruminates on the path that led them here, showcasing the individual flaws and struggles that make us all so ordinarily human. This "compelling novel of war, brotherhood, and America" spans only eight hours, but the gripping effect of its words lasts a lifetime.
