Children's Reading: Jason Farley and Jessica Lin Evans

Saturday, November 12, 2016 - 10:00am to 11:00am

Come out of the cold and listen to author, Jason Farley, read from his children's book "Waiting Through Winter." Children will enjoy hearing about how our feathered and furry friends prepare for the long winter months. Bring your favorite blankie or stuffed animal!

Illustrator Jessica Lin Evans will be present to demonstrate her drawing skills.

Jason Farley is a Spokane Native. Though he moved away to adventure with his family in the sand and sun of California for a time, is now home again to teach Classical Literature at The Oaks Academy. He blogs at The Westminster Confession of Funk (wcfunk.squarespace.com) and is the general editor of Jovial Press (jovial-pub.com). He loves helping writers, especially poets, make it to publication. A father of four and a husband of one, he likes bar-b-cueing, basketball, and discussing books. He is also the author of In Pursuit of Kindness and a collection of poetry entitled No One Doubts a Belly Laugh.

Jessica Linn Evans was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest where she grew up into a love of the outdoors and fairy stories and an eye for detail. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a BFA in Studio Arts. After many years in the role of Art Director/Graphic Designer, she moved forward full-time with her passion for creating art for childrenʼs books, rendering whimsical characters and settings, and emphasizing the wonder of the natural world.
