Victor & Mytia Komarovsky's Mostly True Spokane Bedtime Stories (Paperback)
On Our Shelves Now
Neither indulging in fine Columbia Valley wines nor splurging on expensive mountain bikes, the obsession of Victor Komarovsky and his wife Mytia has instead been collecting Spokane Bedtime Stories for many years since they immigrated to the city from the United States. What kind of stories? All kinds of Spokane stories from ancient times to the present-- funny inspirational, outrageous, frightening and many times spooky stories with the voices of ghosts echoing through the ages. The couple emphasizes the truthfulness of these fifty tales, promising, "These scary, entertaining, and amazing stories of Spokane are very true. 60% - 90% true!" Enjoy, Spokane, as you tuck yourself into bed each night.
Victor, Mytia, and their Moran Wolf Hounds Buka and Buyan live on the South Hill in Spokane, Washington. Stories include material suitable for adults and mature children. Essential for natives and newcomers alike, the entire collection will impart a new understanding of what it is to be a Spokanite living in the Lilac City.
About the Author
Chet Caskey and his wife Catherine live with their two "ghost dogs" on the haunted South Hill of Spokane. Raised in New Orleans, in retirement in Spokane, Chet has worked as the Historian for the city's Community Cemeteries, taught Ghostology, Divination and Fortune Telling for Spokane Community College's Act 2 Program, and conducted group Tea & Tarot, Tea Leaf Reading and Crystal Ball sessions throughout the city. Working with Spokane's pre-eminent psychic Dr Candess Campbell, and paranormal investigation group Spokane Ghost Crew, Chet also has investigated various spiritually active city sites at the request of building and business owners. In conjunction with Inland Empire Tours, Chet leads ten different walking and bus Ghost Tours throughout the city from remote North Side to the South hill-- and all dark spots in between.
