Zek: An American Prison Story: Arthur Longworth
Seattle Publisher, Gabalfa Press, is proud to publish six time National PEN Award winning writer Arthur Longworth's first longform narrative, Zek: An American Prison Story. Zek weaves real-life events at a Washington State Prison within a fictional narrative to tell the story of prison life in 21st century America. Paul Constant of the Seattle Review of Books states, "The writing in Zek is simple, straightforward. It's not beautiful, but the bluntness of the language suits the subject matter perfectly. He concludes his review with, "...one book can make a difference."
Please join guest readers Layne Pavey and Jeff Coats, Inlander Crime and Courts reporter, Mitch Ryals, and author, Arthur Longworth (by phone) for an evening of readings and discussion.
