Watercolor Story Time!
The wonderful Darcy Lee Saxton, author of When Colors Meet, will be hosting Story Time for kiddos aged 2-5 on Saturday, August 26 at 11am! You and your little ones are welcome to join us for this vibrant kids' event, followed by a painting and color mixing adventure with Darcy herself! Both a mom and an artist, When Colors Meet was created when Darcy went "in search of a charming color mixing book for her color-obsessed three-year-old" (as written in the book description). In addition to her new book, Darcy's fabulous work can be found in a multitude of places, including the January/February 2017 edition of the magazine Art Chowder, and even on "billboards, buses, and company cars" throughout Spokane! For more examples of her gorgeous work, check out her website, http://www.darcyleeart.com/.
Mark your calendars and dig out your smock: things are about to get colorful!
When Colors Meet was created by a mom and artist in search of a charming color mixing book for her color-obsessed three-year-old. This engaging short tale encourages your child's interaction as it follows a lonely red line that gradually meets and mixes with new colored lines.
