Author David V. Herlihy, a leading authority in the history of bicycles, presents his book, The Lost Cyclist: The Epic Tale of an American Adventurer and His Mysterious Disappearance. Herlihy’s account describes a young American, Frank Lenz, who set out on round-the-world bicycle journey in 1892. Lenz had traveled 20,000 miles, including a stop in Spokane, before he disappeared in eastern Turkey.
