Ceremony for Jess Walter's PNBA Book Award
Join us at Auntie’s for Jess Walter’s PNBA Book Award ceremony honoring We Live in Water on Thursday, February 13, at 7:00 pm.
Every year since 1965 the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association has annally awarded its prizes to five authors from Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Montana, Idaho or British Columbia.
To help celebrate the occasion, we have planned an evening full of readings and speeches.
See the man of the hour as well as some surprise guests while sipping delicious beverages from our neighbor Sante. The word on West Main is that Walter will be premiering some new material from an upcoming book and signing copies of our favorites!
Walter will be recognized this year for raising awareness about the strength of literature in Spokane and the Northwest region. We are delighted that he has chosen Auntie’s as the venue to accept his award.
We Live in Water, the first collection of short fiction from New York Times bestselling author Jess Walter, is a suite of diverse, often comic stories about personal struggle and diminished dreams, all of them marked by the wry wit and generosity of spirit that has made him one of our most talked-about writers.
