The author of Farm City: The Education of an Urban Farmer, Novella Carpenter grew up rural but loves the city and transformed a weedy lot in Oakland, CA into a small farm complete with turkeys and pigs. Novella will give a free presentation on urban gardening. This event is preceded by a ticketed ($40) event at Santé Restaurant with tastings and chef demonstrations using rabbit.
